Artist Statement

The tactile experience of materials I use in my work, help me link past with present, myself to others; It is an expression of timelessness and how everything unifies. I look for beauty in my creative expression but also uniqueness.

Watercolor and enamels bring an element of surprise, an experimental quality that I feel totally engaged in. The mixing of materials help me redefine and understand the world I live in.

Having studied surface design at Fashion Institute of Technology and fine arts at Hunter College, my appreciation of textile, color and shape expanded to an interest in three dimensional form. I study watercolors and assemblages at the Art Students League.

My travels allowed me to paint and participate in national and international shows. 2012 “Americans In Florence”

I live and work in New York where there is always excitement and energy but also the retreat of my studio where I can create my art.
